We learn in different ways so the answer will vary depending on the person. Consistent practice and use of the language is definitely a good thing though. It can also help to watch English shows and listen to English music when you can to help you get used to the sounds.

Practice is essential more than. I have had international students speak to me about how they went to English speaking country, became good in English, went home stopped speaking and forgot how to speak within years. Practice improves your speaking skills but also confidence. I think it is significant and as a teacher on another site I have had too many students come to me for help and the advice PRACTICE has worked hugely.

The best way to learn and improve your English is to read books written in English. You will find plenty of new words yoi never heard of before. Other good ways are playing video games with in-game communication, watching movies, etc
