Title How can I be a successful tutor?
Writer 관리자 Date 2011-08-29

There are a couple of things you can do to make sure you are successful with OnTutor:

1) Be a Top Tutor in OnTutor
This is the most important factor in your success. Students are more likely to contact tutors who have good reviews

and ratings.
If you become a Top Tutor, you can also get the "Top Tutors" exposure on the main page and on top of the list in the

search results, and on the top list of recommendations from those students who submit the [Tutor Request Form] by

satisfying the conditions.

2) Create a compelling profile.
Add your friendly-looking photo, video and detailed information about your experience, education, qualifications, etc.

Please use your real photo and video. This information is extremly important for students to decide.

3) Get a translation for your Tutor Profile.
Most students(Koreans) are not good at reading English. Korean translation along with your English writing will help

students know about you a lot better. We offer a translation service for your tutor profile for free for 3 months. Request

a translation after completing your tutor profile by leaving a message on the [Customer Support] with your email ID

and display name.
The Brief Description > Description, Experience > Description, Education > Other, Qualification > Other fields will be

translated.

4) Show students your expertise.
Post your knowledge in the [Learning Center] and [Community] menu. Your photo and brief profile will be posted

with your column.
Remember you can get some access from students this way too!

5) Offer a trial
You can attract more potential students and also reduce the possibilities for students to cancel a course after they

make a payment this way. Especially if you don't have any ratings because you're new, let students leave reviews

after taking a trial.

6) Log in often and respond to requests!
Log in often, check your messages and don't let students wait too long for your reply. You can get the "Recently

Visiting Tutors" exposure on the main page.

7) Be unique.
Some popular tutors post a brief description of their course plan in their profiles and some give students feedback

after every lesson.
